Licensed Physical Therapist Asst. - Nursing Home assists Physical Therapist in evaluating and providing treatment for nursing home patients to ease their pain and help increase their mobility. Prepares patients and equipment for therapy and implements treatment plans as instructed, including exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment. Being a Licensed Physical Therapist Asst. - Nursing Home records patient's reaction to treatment and provides status reports at the end of each treatment. Requires an associate degree or graduation from an accredited physical therapist assistant program. Additionally, Licensed Physical Therapist Asst. - Nursing Home typically reports to a physical therapist. Requires a state physical therapist assistant license. Licensed Physical Therapist Asst. - Nursing Home's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.     What you will do

    • Complete initial and on-going assessments to determine level of functioning, including OASIS assessments at appropriate time points.
    • Execute assessment using procedures such as manual and electrical muscle examinations, functional evaluations, gait analysis, sensory testing, measurements of range of motion, and assessment of development and utilization of human movement.
    • Provide therapeutic treatments and evaluation of equipment needs, as applicable.

    Who you are:
    • At least one year of experience in physical therapy.
    • Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of California
