Licensed Practical Nurse - Home Care jobs in Des Moines, IA
Licensed Practical Nurse - Home Care administers nursing care in a home care environment under the supervision of a registered nurse or other medical supervisor. Provides basic medical care, including changing bandages, administering medication, and collecting specimens. Being a Licensed Practical Nurse - Home Care ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients by assisting with bathing, feeding, and dressing. Monitors and reports changes in patient's condition to supervisor. Additionally, Licensed Practical Nurse - Home Care requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. Requires graduation from approved LPN educational program. Requires a state license to practice. Licensed Practical Nurse - Home Care's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. JOB SUMMARY:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you provide quality care to residents while ensuring all applicable laws, regulations, and company standards are met.QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with applicable state, without restrictions, and/or ability to obtain a state-specific license
- Knowledgeable of nursing practices and procedures as well as the applicable state laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing functions
- Must be capable of performing Essential Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation
