Licensed Practical Nurse - Home Care jobs in Florence, AL
Licensed Practical Nurse - Home Care administers nursing care in a home care environment under the supervision of a registered nurse or other medical supervisor. Provides basic medical care, including changing bandages, administering medication, and collecting specimens. Being a Licensed Practical Nurse - Home Care ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients by assisting with bathing, feeding, and dressing. Monitors and reports changes in patient's condition to supervisor. Additionally, Licensed Practical Nurse - Home Care requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. Requires graduation from approved LPN educational program. Requires a state license to practice. Licensed Practical Nurse - Home Care's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. Duties:
As a LPN, you will work 1:1 with an individual in their home and support them with the following:
Adhere to the outlined care plan
Document tasks, observations and evaluate outcomes
Ensure quality care is delivered by creating, implementing, monitoring and enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures
Receive clinical direction and oversight from the staff RN
Assist with other duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
Current Mississippi (or Compact State) LPN license
One (1) or more years nursing experience, preferably in personal care home industry
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
