Licensed Practical Nurse administers nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse or other medical supervisor. Provides basic medical care, including changing bandages, administering medication, and collecting specimens. Being a Licensed Practical Nurse ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients by assisting with bathing, feeding, and dressing. Monitors and reports changes in patient's condition to supervisor. Additionally, Licensed Practical Nurse requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. Requires graduation from approved LPN educational program. Requires a state license to practice. Licensed Practical Nurse's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. RESPONSIBILITES:
Oversee and provide resident care through assessments and evaluations with guidance from the Director of Nursing
Administer medications and complete treatments based on residents' needs
Supervise and evaluate the performance of nursing assistants
QUALIFICATIONS:
A passion for caring for and improving the lives of our residents
Current LPN License
Ability to Administer Medication/IV certification preferred
Recent clinical experience; specialty skills in geriatrics preferred
Good Working knowledge of State Rules/Regulations
Positive Can-Do Attitude and Excellent Attendance
