Licensed Practical Nurse administers nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse or other medical supervisor. Provides basic medical care, including changing bandages, administering medication, and collecting specimens. Being a Licensed Practical Nurse ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients by assisting with bathing, feeding, and dressing. Monitors and reports changes in patient's condition to supervisor. Additionally, Licensed Practical Nurse requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. Requires graduation from approved LPN educational program. Requires a state license to practice. Licensed Practical Nurse's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. JOB SUMMARY FOR LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE - LPN:
We are currently seeking the professional skills of LPN. This position will be responsible for assisting residents with activities for daily living. This position does require a Licensed Practical Nurse license in the State of Illinois. To provide outstanding resident care, experience in a geriatric setting is preferred with the demonstrated ability to work effectively with residents and personnel.
REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE - LPN:
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license from the State of Illinois
- Previous experience in a Skilled-Nursing or Long-Term Care facility preferred
- Strong organizational skills, detail oriented
- Exemplary critical thinking capability
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards
- Must have compassion, tolerance and understanding of older adults
