Being a Licensed Practical Nurse - Long-Term Care ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients by assisting with bathing, feeding, and dressing. Monitors and reports changes in patient's condition to supervisor. Additionally, Licensed Practical Nurse - Long-Term Care requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. Requires graduation from approved LPN educational program. Requires a state license to practice. This collaborative network includes Physicians, Licensed Practical Nurses, Physical and Occupational Therapists, Case Managers, Care Managers, RCM, RA, Nursing Aides and the Activities departments.Together, they will work together to ensure comprehensive and exceptional care for the residents in the long-term care facility.

    The Director of Nursing Long-Term Care will be responsible for developing comprehensive policies and procedures for the Long-Term Care Services department. They will ensure that the department is meeting quality standards and work towards enhancing the overall performance of the department. It will be their duty to guarantee the continuous delivery of high-quality nursing services and care for patients.

    The Long-Term Care Director will oversee all supervisory tasks related to nursing services, including the completion of work schedules, task allocation, and evaluation of job performance. In addition, the director will establish goals and standards for the nursing services, and conduct regular staff meetings to facilitate effective communication, providing direction and leadership.
