Licensed Practical Nurse - Long-Term Care administers nursing care in a long-term care environment under the supervision of a registered nurse or other medical supervisor. Monitors and reports changes in patient's condition to supervisor. Additionally, Licensed Practical Nurse - Long-Term Care requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. Requires graduation from approved LPN educational program. Requires a state license to practice.     We are an intermediate care facility for medically complex children. We are looking for a nurturing, energetic licensed practical nurse (LPN) to provide care for our pediatric population.     Education Level: Must have completed at least high school or its equivalent and requirements as the state board may prescribe and is licensed as a Registered Nurse or Practical Nurse by the Board of Examiners of Nursing. Pediatric experience preferred but not required.

    General Description: Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, renders nursing care to the children within an assigned unit.

    • Licensed practical nurses administrates all medication and treatments ordered and documents all care given.
    • Provide information concerning changes in patient’s condition/behavior which is assessed during daily assignments.
    • Licensed practical nurse performs functions of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating all assigned patient care in collaboration with Charge Nurse, Nurse Practitioner and Physician
    • Clear, accurate completion of all charting including changes in child's condition.
    • Interact effectively with all team members and interdisciplinary teams to meet the goals of the residents.
    • Evaluate patient safety condition/practices and notify Charge Nurse of any violations or potential hazards.
    • Order and receive medication from the Pharmacy as prescribed by the physician.
    • Demonstrate exemplary customer service in dealing with the children, their families, visitors, and other staff.
    • Able to assemble and properly use medical equipment such as CPT machine, Bair Hugger, etc.
    • Maintains current CPR certification.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Job Types: Full-time, PRN

    Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
