Licensed Practical Nurse - Occupational Health administers nursing care in a workplace environment under the supervision of a registered nurse or other medical supervisor. Provides on-site health services, including taking vital signs, bandaging wounds, administering medication, and collecting specimens. Being a Licensed Practical Nurse - Occupational Health monitors and reports changes in patient's condition to supervisor. May administer flu vaccines and conduct annual employee physicals. Additionally, Licensed Practical Nurse - Occupational Health requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. Requires graduation from approved LPN educational program. Requires a state license to practice. Licensed Practical Nurse - Occupational Health's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     Work Schedule:

    • Monday - Friday
    • 9 hours per day, including a one-hour lunch break
    • Operating hours between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm\

    Work-Life Balance:

    Minimum Qualifications (Applicants must meet the following requirements):

    • Education: Graduated from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university, or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate state agency and accredited by the Commission on Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) or another acceptable accreditation body.
    • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant LPN/LVN experience after graduation.
    • License: Active unrestricted LPN/LVN license from any state.
    • Life Support Certifications: Possess a current AHA or ARC BLS certification.
    • Security: Must have the ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.

    Core Duties:

    • Initiate, perform, and complete assigned duties in patient care for diverse patient populations.
    • Administer patient care based on individual patient conditions, using judgment to prioritize and sequence procedures and treatments, and maintain accurate patient records.
    • Observe, identify, and address patient needs, including medication administration, assisted care, and patient/family education.
    • Administer prescribed medications (oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous) and perform treatments according to established protocols.
    • Recognize and respond to urgent or emergent patient situations, seeking guidance from RN or MD/DO, and initiating necessary emergency interventions as directed.
    • Support complex diagnostic tests and specialized procedures, which includes patient preparation, assisting in examinations, instrument handling, and monitoring patient conditions.
    • Orient peers and auxiliary staff to unit policies, procedures, skills, and standards of practice.
    • Promote a healthy work environment that enhances patient healthcare delivery, patient/family education, and employee satisfaction.
