Licensed Practical Nurse - Occupational Health administers nursing care in a workplace environment under the supervision of a registered nurse or other medical supervisor. Provides on-site health services, including taking vital signs, bandaging wounds, administering medication, and collecting specimens. Being a Licensed Practical Nurse - Occupational Health monitors and reports changes in patient's condition to supervisor. May administer flu vaccines and conduct annual employee physicals. Additionally, Licensed Practical Nurse - Occupational Health requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. Requires graduation from approved LPN educational program. Requires a state license to practice. Licensed Practical Nurse - Occupational Health's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     Exciting opportunity to join our clinical team as a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). You will render nursing care in Spartanburg County to meet individualized patient’s needs, according to dependent and independent nursing functions in conformance with recognized nursing techniques, procedures, and established standards under the direction of a physician or health care provider.

    Excellent pay up to $29.00 per hour with excellent full-time benefits. Sign on bonus and quarterly incentive.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities

     

    • Includes but not limited to all the duties of a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant and;
    • Perform delegated independent nursing functions using established procedures, policies, guidelines, and standards in accordance with the South Carolina Nursing Practice ethical and professional guidelines.
    • Accurately document pertinent observations and interventions in the Electronic Medical Record to aid in the development of the patient centered care plan and the delivery of quality and equitable health care.
    • Carry out physician orders timely and accurately.
    • Maintenance of quality control standards, logs, and point of care testing.
    • Provide instruction/teaching to the patients relative to identified medical and psychosocial problems/needs to aid in positive outcomes.
    • Attend required Clinical and Health Center in-service programs.
    • Demonstrate responsibility and accountability for professional practice, continued growth, and self-evaluation.
    • Must comply with the ReGenesis Health Care infection control policies and procedures including Body Substance Isolation (BSI) and the exposure Control Plan which reflects OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard to ensure a safe working environment for self and others.
    • Understand and demonstrate compliance with both Health Services and Resources Administration (HRSA) and ReGenesis Health Care program requirements.
    • Maintain appropriate licensure and participates in continuing education activities to exemplify the Licensed Practical Nurse.
    • Ensure and uphold the confidentially requirements of all patient records and manage all daily tasks and activities consistent with HIPAA, state and federal laws and regulations, as well as the clinic’s policies and regulations regarding confidentiality and security.
    • Provide culturally competent quality patient-centered health care in partnership with the communities we serve.
