Licensed Practical Nurse - Outpatient Clinic administers nursing care in an outpatient facility or clinic under the supervision of a registered nurse or other medical supervisor. Takes patient history and performs initial physical evaluation of patient's condition. Being a Licensed Practical Nurse - Outpatient Clinic provides basic medical care, including changing bandages, administering prescribed medication, and collecting specimens. May be responsible for patient triage. Additionally, Licensed Practical Nurse - Outpatient Clinic requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. Requires graduation from approved LPN educational program. Requires a state license to practice. Licensed Practical Nurse - Outpatient Clinic's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Licensed Practical Nurse delivers efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient/family satisfaction.
    Position Highlights
    • Evaluate patients/residents to collect data, observe conditions, and report changes in condition.
    • Contribute to nursing assessments and care planning.
    • Administer medications and performs treatments per physician orders.
    • Supervise and monitor patient care provided by unlicensed staff.

    Requirements:
    • Must be a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing.
    • Must be currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing or pending licensed practical nurse licensure.
    • Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification if employed at a skilled nursing center or as required by the state of practice if an assisted living facility.


    Compensation: $29-$37/ hour
