Licensed Practical Nurse - Outpatient Clinic administers nursing care in an outpatient facility or clinic under the supervision of a registered nurse or other medical supervisor. Takes patient history and performs initial physical evaluation of patient's condition. Being a Licensed Practical Nurse - Outpatient Clinic provides basic medical care, including changing bandages, administering prescribed medication, and collecting specimens. May be responsible for patient triage. Additionally, Licensed Practical Nurse - Outpatient Clinic requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. Requires graduation from approved LPN educational program. Requires a state license to practice. Licensed Practical Nurse - Outpatient Clinic's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.       • The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible to see that the patient care needs are met.         Professional/Educational
        • Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
        • Current Illinois Licensed Practical Nursing license with biennial renewal.
        • Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
        • Experience in Ambulatory Clinics, preferred.
        • DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
