LPN Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and support a minimum of 80 pounds
• Physical stamina to withstand long hours of standing and walking
• Active NYS LPN license
• COVID-19 Vaccination**
• Negative TB test results
• Annual physical examination

LPN Responsibilities

• Admitting, discharging, and transferring patients
• Monitoring and reporting vital signs
• Administering medications as prescribed and reporting any adverse reactions
• Assisting with wound care and collecting samples
• Maintaining effective communication with patients and their families
• Accurate and timely documentation of patient care
• Restocking supplies, medications, and equipment
• Collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

**Meridian Nurse adheres to CMS and local Department of Health guidelines regarding COVID-19 vaccinations. All healthcare professionals must be up to date on all recommended COVID-19 vaccinations, including booster doses when required. Vaccinated workers may still undergo regular COVID-19 symptom screenings, including temperature and symptom checks.

Hourly pay rates may vary based on the location of healthcare facilities partnered with Meridian Nurse. All advertised rates reflect the wages currently offered by our partner facilities. Hourly rates may fluctuate depending on the specific shifts you schedule on a weekly basis.
