Medicare Certification Surveyor (Registered Nurse)

Four ten hour work days with weekends and holidays off for Registered Nurse!
This is a hybrid work location position with the employees home being their remote location (normal approval process required) when not onsite at healthcare facilities. Onsite inspections and travel are required.
The Utah Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Licensing, is seeking a quality conscious Registered Nurse to work as surveyors with other health professionals to conduct surveys of Medicare and/or Medicaid certified acute and continuing healthcare facilities in Utah.
As a member of a healthcare team, the surveyor will conduct onsite surveys/inspections to ensure certified healthcare facilities meet the requirements for participation in Medicare and/or Medicaid programs.
Surveys are conducted as unannounced recertification inspections or in response to complaint allegations and provide an in-depth review of care through observation of the quality of care being provided in these facilities. Surveyors will observe patient care, interview patient and/or patient representatives, facility staff, and medical providers, as well as review relevant health records. Surveyor will formulate a written report of findings. The survey process has a strong emphasis on patient outcomes and the provision of services to assure quality of care for all patients.

To be considered for this surveyor position you must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions in the State of Utah.

You must also possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

This position requires travel, including overnight lodging of up to four consecutive nights, at variable intervals, throughout the state
