DOL / Recording Specialist: Jefferson County Auditor’s Office is seeking a DOL / Recording Specialist, Deputy Auditor. This position performs a variety of routine and complex technical and administrative work for the Vehicle/Vessel Licensing Division. Assists citizens in licensing, titling and filing vehicle/vessel documents. Collects revenues including all sales and use taxes. Verifies all legal documents for compliance of state and federal laws. Insures DOL rules and regulations are adhered to along with County policies and procedures. Position has significant public contact requiring effective communication and service to customers while working in partnership with other employees of the Auditor’s Office.
Minimum Qualifications: Individual needs to be able to perform this job successfully in each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are listed on the , please see attached, and are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or general education degree (GED); and three (3) years experience in progressively responsible clerical positions, including two (2) years experience as an Administrative Clerk in licensing or elsewhere in work of clerical nature for sufficient length of time to demonstrate competency. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Compensation: This is a full time, Grade 24 UFCW position. Pay range is $20.92 - $26.13/hour in 2023, starting pay typically $20.92, DOE. Full medical benefits, including dental and vision. Retirement provided through Washington State DRS. Plus 12 days of vacation to start, 11 paid holidays, sick leave, and bereavement leave. Work Week: Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with a 30-minute lunch.
