Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Licensing Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     MCI is seeking an experienced BPO Insurance Licensing Manager to support Property and Casualty business process outsourcing accounts. In this role, your primary responsibility will be working with licensing specialists in managing the licensing and registration of new and existing insurance professionals.

     

    In this role, you will oversee representative terminations, exam windows, insurance appointments and processing maintenance requests for existing agents. The duties required include ensuring compliance with federal and state regulatory agencies. In addition, candidates for this role should be highly organized, display a high degree of ownership, and possess a strong work ethic.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

    Licensing Managers are responsible for overseeing the P&C licensing requirements and maintenance of new and existing agents. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for the client and the MCI operations and shared services team.   

     

    Our Licensing Managers are responsible for the following tasks:

    • Work with employees to help them obtain their insurance license
    • Communicate requirements with internal teams and follow-up when necessary
    • Perform fingerprint requirements
    • Ensure applicants fill out proper forms in their entirety
    • Communicates with state regulators, when needed, to inquiry about state-specific requirements and/or statuses of state registrations.
    • Applies licensing fees and waivers associated with onboarding costs and daily maintenance and licensing requests.
    • Assists with the processing and completion of registered individuals’ terminations, working with Human Resources and Management to complete stages of the process.
    • Coordinates appropriate exams and records test results.
    • Updates data in various computer systems for representatives, advisors and employees including change requests for addresses, contracts, etc.
    • Processes annual renewal and terminations of registration
    • Answers securities and advisory questions from advisors, support staff, and employees.
    • Assists with onboarding registered employees.
    • Updates and maintains records on representative outside business activities.
    • Performs research on documents, procedures, and escalated cases on a normal basis to assist with inquiries.
    • All other duties as assigned

    STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS

    Qualified candidates will be willing to learn new products, processes, and technology. In addition, candidates should be highly organized, driven, and confident individuals that will professionally represent the company and its customers. 

     

    Other Qualifications Include:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred, high school diploma (or equivalent) in combination with significant experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required.
    • 5 years of securities, insurance, or other related work experience
    • High-level knowledge and experience in the management of large scale licensing requirements
    • Professional designation (CPCU/CIC/AAI/CISR) preferred
    • Able to analyze information and determine appropriate action
    • Work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Skilled in effective verbal and written communications
    • Ability to be at work on a regular and predictable basis
    • Effectively communicate courteously and professionally with customers, co-workers, and various business contacts in person, via telephone, and/or by email.
    • Function as a team player
    • Able to maintain high concentration and focus
    • Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks
    • Advanced attention to detail
    • Ability to resolve problems and make rule-based decisions
    • Skill in operating personal computer and various software packages (i.e. Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, etc.)

    CONDITIONS

    • Must be authorized to work in their country of residence (The United States or Canada)
    • Must be willing to submit up to a LEVEL II background and/or security investigation with a fingerprint.  Job offers are contingent on background/security investigation results
    • Must be willing to submit to drug screening.  Job offers are contingent on drug screening results.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset. The employee will be regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer. The employee may occasionally be required to move about the office to accomplish tasks; reach in any direction; raise or lower objects, move objects from place to place, hold onto objects, and move or exert force up to forty (40) pounds.
