LICENSING PROGRAM ANALYST

    The CDSS Community Care Licensing Division is currently accepting applications for a Licensing Program Analyst for the Centralized Application Bureau.

    Under the supervision of the Licensing Program Manager I (LPM I) in the Centralized Application Bureau, the Child Care Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) is responsible for a full range of licensing duties which may include: develop and implement orientations, training programs; review applications; recommend license approval/denial; review, evaluate and verify applicant and staff qualifications; perform on-site facility evaluations; investigate complaints in licensed and unlicensed facilities; recommend and prepare administrative actions to deny, revoke, and suspend facility licenses.

    Working Conditions

    This is an office-centered position; however, occasional telework may be permitted.

    Use of a computer for several hours a day which involves sitting most of the time but may include walking or standing for brief periods. Attend meetings, workshops and training associated with job duties. Work hours and schedules may vary.

    The core mission of the Child Care Licensing Program is to ensure the health and safety of children in care. The Child Care Licensing Program strives to provide preventive, protective, and quality services to children in care by ensuring that licensed facilities meet established health and safety standards through monitoring facilities, providing technical assistance, and establishing partnerships with providers, parents, and the child care community.

    Special Requirements

    This position is subject to fingerprinting clearance by the Department of Justice.

    Training and Development assignments may be considered based on the availability of eligible candidates and are subject to approval by the Hiring Authority prior to appointment. Training and Development assignments are temporary in nature and shall not exceed twenty-four (24) months.


    Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview, but they must provide proof of residence in California prior to being eligible for appointment.
