The Activities Director provides fun and purpose to our residents on a daily basis! The Activities Director assists in the planning, organizing, developing, implementing and evaluating recreational and social activities within the Prosper at Fall River community. The key responsibility of the Acitvities Director is maintaining a robust schedule of activities that stimulate the resident's mind, body, and spirit. The goal of our activities programming is to provide fun and purpose to our residents. Attitude is everything! Prosper is looking for someone who will bring a positive and productive attitude on a daily basis to serve each other and the residents. 

Other responsibilities include:

• Role Model: Strive to provide the highest quality of care to residents with the kindness and compassion that affords the resident their dignity.
• Good Will Ambassador - Function as liaison between staff, residents, families, and the bommunity at large through volunteers, entertainment sources, and service providers to ensure positive public relations with Prosper.
• Assist in planning, scheduling and implementing a program of individual and group activities based on residents' purpose.
• Plan and implement recreational and social activities on a one-to-one basis for those who do not wish to attend group activities and/or residents unable to leave their apartments.
• Plan and implement activities with marketing department to promote the residence.
• Facilitate, plan and implement evening and weekend functions.
• Take part in in-service education and attend all in-service sessions as required.
• Encourage and assist Resident Care Managers and Volunteers facilitate activities
• Organize and schedule community events related to residents' purpose.
• Create monthly activity calendar and daily announcements
• Maintain an activity attendance record for each resident.
• Create newsletter for residents and their families.
• Maintain an adequate supply of materials to implement activity programs.
• Observe infection control procedures related to the Activity Program.
• Assume responsibility for the safety of residents under their supervision.
• Follow Resident's Rights policies at all times.

Qualifications/Education/Experience:

1. Associate Degree or equivalent
2. 1 year experience as an activities coordinator or educator
3. Certified Activities Professional/Recreational Therapist/Occupational Therapist preferred.
4. Must have valid driver's license and be able to drive a 14 passenger van.
