Life Underwriting Director directs and oversees the life insurance underwriting program for individuals and/or groups. Responsible for ensuring integrity of underwriting activities and processes. Being a Life Underwriting Director provides coaching to underwriters and assists on more complex applications. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Additionally, Life Underwriting Director typically requires Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) certification or Fellow Life Management Institute (FLMI) designation. Typically reports to top management. The Life Underwriting Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Director to join our team. As an Activities Director, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities for our residents, promoting their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. You will work closely with the care team to ensure that the activities provided are tailored to meet the individual needs and preferences of our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Lead activities and conducts programs in a timely manner.
- Lead and create activities such as arts and crafts, daily exercise, games, field trips, and planning holiday events.
- Continually promotes and encourages resident participation in activities and events. Seeks to find the motivation in each resident that will entice them to participate or be an active member in activities/events.
- Monitor activities financial records, ensures administrative tasks are performed appropriately, such as completing financial statements, documenting volunteer information.
- Transports residents to various activities and events in the community.
- May perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Experience:
- Ability to speak and understand the English language
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of memory care principles and techniques
- Familiarity with recreational therapy practices
- Ability to manage schedules and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously
- Experience in event planning is preferred
- Prior experience in small group socialization and creative programming for older adults preferred.
