What We Are Looking For

The Assistant Director for Fraternity and Sorority Life is expected to create meaningful relationships, be an advocate, and help identify resources and support systems for FSL projects and processes (i.e. expansion, community programs, and collaboration with campus partners). This position will support the mission of the university by exhibiting an appreciation of, a sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty and staff of many social, economic, cultural, ideological, racial and ethnic backgrounds. 

A Bachelor's degree, one year of work experience, and an active Christian faith are required. A Master’s degree and three years of relevant work experience are preferred.

A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of one another. 

All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on full-time basis.

What You Will Do

• Assist each group as they work through chapter/council specific issues
• Provide necessary administrative support and infrastructure to guarantee their holistic success 
• Provide initial and ongoing training/support for all Interfraternity Council and Local fraternity advisors and student leadership officers 
• Communicate with national headquarters personnel and external affiliates on chapter updates/concerns and provide semester and annual reports
• Educate chapters on university compliance policies regarding recruitment, new member education processes, student organizational policies, organization conduct/ adjudication processes, and program/event regulations 
• Provide support for final approval functions for the online roster, event, t-shirt and flyer approval processes for all IFC and Local organizations
• Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission 
• Ability to comply with university policies 
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
