    What your day to day will look like:

    Resident Relations:

    • Establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, providing excellent customer service and addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
    • Conduct regular community events, activities, and social gatherings to foster a sense of community and resident engagement.
    • Respond to resident inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
    • Enforce community policies and rules consistently and fairly.
    • Coordinate and oversee resident communication, including newsletters, notices, and social media updates.

    Leasing and Marketing:

    • Implement effective leasing strategies to maximize occupancy rates and minimize vacancy periods.
    • Conduct tours of the property, showcasing available units and amenities to prospective residents.
    • Screen and process applications, conduct background checks, and execute lease agreements.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing campaigns to attract and retain residents.
    • Maintain accurate leasing records, including applicant information, move-in/move-out documentation, and lease renewals.

    Property Operations:

    • Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure prompt resolution of maintenance requests and the overall upkeep of the property.
    • Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure adherence to quality standards.
    • Coordinate move-in and move-out processes, including unit inspections and security deposit handling.
    • Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations and overseeing service quality.
    • Monitor utility consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives where applicable.

    Financial Management:

    • Assist in the development of annual budgets and monitor expenses to ensure financial targets are met.
    • Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
    • Oversee rent collection, ensure timely payment processing, and take appropriate action for delinquent accounts.
    • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including rent roll, occupancy rates, and revenue projections.

    Compliance and Legal Requirements:

    • Stay informed of federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to property management and fair housing.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, including leasing, resident rights, and safety regulations.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation to support regulatory compliance.

    What you will need to succeed:

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, hospitality, or related field (preferred) OR equivalent work experience.
    • Proven experience in property management or community management, preferably in multi-family properties.
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships with residents and staff.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in property management software and MS Office Suite.
    • Basic financial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial reporting.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage residents and staff.
    • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various properties as needed.
    • Yardi experience a plus

    Environmental requirements:

    • Mobility: The ability to move around the property, including walking, standing, and climbing stairs. Community Managers may need to conduct property inspections, attend meetings, and address resident needs in various areas of the property.
    • Lifting and Carrying: Occasional lifting and carrying of objects such as files, packages, and small equipment. This may involve lifting up to 25 pounds.
    • Manual Dexterity: Community Managers may be required to handle keys, use office equipment, and perform basic maintenance tasks. Manual dexterity is necessary for tasks such as operating a computer, handling paperwork, and conducting property inspections.
    • Vision: The ability to read documents, computer screens, and signage, as well as identify potential maintenance issues or safety hazards on the property.
    • Hearing: The ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and contractors, as well as to respond to emergencies or safety concerns.
    • Verbal communication: Clear and effective verbal communication skills to interact with prospective residents, current residents, and colleagues.
    • Driving: Depending on the property, a valid driver's license may be required. Community Managers may need to travel between properties, run errands, or attend off-site meetings.
