Life Underwriting Supervisor supervises group of underwriters who review, analyze and inspect life insurance contracts. Accepts, modifies or declines a risk through evaluation of an individual's medical history or physical condition, occupational hazards, financial background, insurable interest and other information. Being a Life Underwriting Supervisor analyzes various rate plans utilizing the organization's claims history to determine the appropriate rate plan and benefits costs. Familiar with current legislative and compliance processes affecting life insurance. Additionally, Life Underwriting Supervisor may evaluate reinstatements and changes in existing policies. May have designations or course work toward the CLU, FLMI, etc. Has a sound working knowledge of medical terminology. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. I am seeking a compassionate and dedicated Life Skills Trainer to assist my teenage daughter on the autism spectrum and with an intellectual disability. As a Life Skills Trainer, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the life of my daughter. Your role will involve providing support and assistance to help individuals develop essential life skills and achieve their goals. This is a DDS DESE contract and administered by KDC.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with individuals with special needs, their families, and other team members
- Collect data on individual progress and behavior
- Implement individualized plans and strategies to support the development of life skills
- Assist individuals with transportation needs, including driving to appointments or community activities
- Collaborate with social workers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Work closely with my daughter to promote social skills development
- Provide direct support in various settings such as school or community-based programs
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in data collection and documentation
- Knowledge of special education principles and practices
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Experience in assisting individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Familiarity with social work principles and techniques
- Ability to work effectively with people on the autism spectrum
- Experience in providing direct support to individuals with special needs
