Light Assembler assembles fabricated parts of small or light subassemblies and completes units. Fits, tests, and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Being a Light Assembler identifies and sorts units that fail quality standards. May disassemble units to repair or refit parts as necessary. Additionally, Light Assembler operates hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Light Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Responsible for performing essential routine tasks involving the safe assembly of small parts for Medical Device equipment.
*Follow detailed written and visual instructions.
*Use a variety of production tools and automated equipment to safely complete assembly operations.
*Monitor and maintain quality standards of product.
*Interfaces with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering as needed to support the process
*Accurately complete related data sheets.
*May pull material for production according to production orders, using the FIFO system.
*May be cross trained in other areas as needed.
Requirements:
*High School diploma or GED preferred.
*Basic computer and basic mathematics skills required.
*Ability to multi-task, attention to detail, and organization skills required.
*Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently and within a team.
*Prior assembly experience highly preferred.
*Drug test and Background Check.
*Must be authorized to work in the US.
