Light Assembler assembles fabricated parts of small or light subassemblies and completes units. Fits, tests, and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Being a Light Assembler identifies and sorts units that fail quality standards. May disassemble units to repair or refit parts as necessary. Additionally, Light Assembler operates hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Light Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Primary Responsibility:
To work alongside the General Labor/Assembly team at QuikCut. To meet high expectations and standards set by QuikCut.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Be able to lift 5 – 90 pounds with help of a magnet on a consistent basis.
2. Handle and transport materials (steel, aluminum, stainless steel) and equipment (drills and grinders)
3. Remove pieces of steel from a skeleton and stack, grind and sort them on to a pallet.
4. Follow a template to cut and install insulation and plywood.
5. Use power hand tools and machinery (forklift) when necessary.

6. Assist Laser Operators, Press Break Operators or other associates as needed.
7. Check measurements by using calipers when using an Air Press.
8. Climb an 8-foot ladder and or install parts underneath a raised platform.
9. Tape off projects to be painted.
10. Use a sander to remove paint runs or help prep projects for painting.
11. Roll paint for quick fixes to marred paint on a project

12. Follow all instructions from supervisor to perform manual labor.
