Light Assembler jobs in Grand Forks, ND
Light Assembler assembles fabricated parts of small or light subassemblies and completes units. Fits, tests, and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Being a Light Assembler identifies and sorts units that fail quality standards. May disassemble units to repair or refit parts as necessary. Additionally, Light Assembler operates hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Light Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. What does a typical day as an Assembler at Polaris look like?
- You will : Install subsystems, parts, and components into a vehicle on a moving assembly line
- Perform checks and inspections to ensure Polaris quality standards across all products
- Utilize various power tools, hoists, and production equipment to build products
Job Qualifications :
- Prior assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work overtime on weekends as needed
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and push / pull up to 100 pounds
- Ability to stand throughout duration of your shift and bend, twist, turn, kneel, squat as required
