Light Assembler assembles fabricated parts of small or light subassemblies and completes units. Fits, tests, and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Being a Light Assembler identifies and sorts units that fail quality standards. May disassemble units to repair or refit parts as necessary. Additionally, Light Assembler operates hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Light Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. - Support a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible.
- Measures and marks pipe for cutting and threading according to specifications.
- Cuts pipe, using saws, pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, and pipe cutting machine.
- Threads pipe, using pipe threading machine.
- Assembles and installs a variety of metal and non-metal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron, steel, copper, and plastic.
- Connects pipes, using threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints, and hand tools.
- Secures piping to structures with brackets, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools.
- Install insulation in various product types, utilizing respiratory protection as required.
- Support Manufacturing Engineering on improvement projects.
- Support the efforts of Lean and Continuous Improvement teams.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and rules.
- Create and maintain a safe and sanitary working environment.
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Basic Qualifications:- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Requires a minimum of one year of related work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of hand and power tools and proper use.
- Ability to read and use tape measure accuracy.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of the facility location will be considered.

- Ability to stand, sit and/or walk on a hard surface as well as safely bend, stoop, reach, climb steps, and use a ladder.

- Ability to work in different environment working conditions (heat, cold, rain, and humidity).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds following safety procedures.
- Vision abilities required: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
