Being a Light Assembler identifies and sorts units that fail quality standards. May disassemble units to repair or refit parts as necessary. Additionally, Light Assembler operates hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Light Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Responsibilities:
- assembling school chairs, tables and cabinet
- Operate power tools and hand tools to assemble, package, and prepare products for shipment
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area
- Assist in inventory management, including counting and tracking stock levels
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a production/assembling environment
- 1 year plus experience in assembling
- Ability to operate power tools and hand tools effectively and safely
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects (up to 40 pounds)
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
