Light Assembler assembles fabricated parts of small or light subassemblies and completes units. Fits, tests, and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Being a Light Assembler identifies and sorts units that fail quality standards. May disassemble units to repair or refit parts as necessary. Additionally, Light Assembler operates hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Light Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Light Equipment Operator
Opportunity available for an experienced light equipment operator. This individual must observe all Boh Bros. safety protocols and be drug-free. Must have consistent and reliable transportation to and from job sites assigned. Most job sites located in and around the greater New Orleans area.
Duties include but are not limited to operating a variety of power construction equipment; performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all equipment; performing other duties on the jobsite when not operating equipment, housekeeping at job site, checking safety protocol, beginning of shift set-up and end of shift clean-up, etc. Must be able to work in a team setting with other craft workers engaged in heavy construction activities.
Ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions, cold, heat, humidity, and some work at heights and in excavations, able to work at various job sites and locations assigned, and understand directions. Also may be exposed to hazards associated with but not limited to dust, odors, fumes, noise, and vibration hazards.

Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in operating and maintaining at least three (3) or more pieces of light equipment.
Must have experience in the road or construction field, working outdoors in extreme weather conditions, and understand directions. Must be devoted and reliable. Current TWIC preferred.
Boh Bros. is a union contractor. All wages and benefits are determined by the union agreement. All new hires will be paid 90% of the journeyman scale for the first 300 hours of employment.
