Light Assembler jobs in Poughkeepsie, NY
Light Assembler assembles fabricated parts of small or light subassemblies and completes units. Fits, tests, and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Being a Light Assembler identifies and sorts units that fail quality standards. May disassemble units to repair or refit parts as necessary. Additionally, Light Assembler operates hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Light Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Ethan Allen Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Electronic Assembler for their client located in Poughkeepsie, NY.
The Electronic Assembler reads work orders, bills of materials, blueprints, schematics and other written or verbal instructions to determine best assembly method and assemble electronic components according to specifications. You must be familiar with surface mount technology, electronic components and SMT assembly processes.
The Assembler must have:
- 2-4 years of experience in electronics manufacturing
- Soldering experience!
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree in electro-mechanical technology or a trade school specializing in mechanics preferred or equivalent work experience
- Computer skills
- Ability to use hand tools
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and bill of materials
- Ability to lift at least 30lbs
This is a temp-to-hire first shift position, Monday-Friday paying $15 per hour. This is a great opportunity for candidates who are looking to further their career.
