Description
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Correctly prepare all food served, following standard recipes and special diet orders; portion to meet company standards.
· Coordinate food orders to support timely and efficient delivery to each table.
· Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards, observing proper food preparation and handling techniques.
· Store food properly and safely by marking dates and times.
· Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance.
· Maintain work area neat and clean; clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation.
· Complete food temperature checks before service as required by company standards.
· Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
· Minimum two years as a Line Cook in a high-volume full-service restaurant.
· California Food Handlers card is required for all food service employees who prepare, store, and serve food.
· A willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
· Proficient communicative skills; cooperates and works together with all co-workers; plan and complete job duties with minimal supervisory directions, including appropriate judgment.
· Ability to read menus, safety documents, and other work-related documents. Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
· Strong attention to detail and knowledge of weights, measurements, volume, and cooking procedures.
Requirements
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is required to walk and stand during the entire shift, continuous use of hands and arms to reach; bend, kneel, and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific sensory abilities required by this job include sight and hearing. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to handle kitchen equipment and is exposed to raw meat, airborne particles, hazardous materials, and elevated temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
