Line Cook prepares menu dishes following established recipes and using designated ingredients that meet production and quality standards as part of a cooking line. Follows all portion and presentation specifications and proper preparation methods. Being a Line Cook sets up and stocks workstation with all necessary supplies. Coordinates with other line cooks to ensure meals are delivered consistently and on time. Additionally, Line Cook is responsible for operating and maintaining a single workstation. May prepare sauces or garnishes. Follows all applicable guidelines and regulations for food handling and safety. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a sous chef or executive chef. The Line Cook works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
At least six months experience as a broiler, sauté, fry, or oven cook in a high-volume, full-service restaurant is preferred. Experience with seafood cooking highly desirable.
Qualifications:
Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment. Must be able to read and memorize recipes and cooking techniques and communicate orally in English.
Physical:
Must be able to stand and work at a fast pace for periods of up to 4 hours. Must be able to stoop, bend and reach. Must have finger and hand dexterity. Must be able to lift and carry pans, pots and other containers weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work quickly and accurately in a hot kitchen.

$18.00 - $20.00 Hourly Tips
Full time employees maintaining an average of 25 hours a week have an option to enroll in medical insurance and an HSA account while those who maintain 20 hours can choose to enroll in dental, vision, voluntary life, and pet Insurance. Employees are enrolled in the company’s 401k plan with an annual discretionary match after one year of employment. Paid Time Off is available for all front of house employees and accrued at 1 hour for every 26 hours worked.
