Lineman constructs, maintains, and repairs overhead and underground transmission lines. Performs site preparation tasks, including digging holes or trenches, installing anchors, climbing poles, and using equipment like digger derricks, aerial lifts, pulling and tensioning equipment, forklifts, and dump trucks. Being a Lineman installs wire and cable. Follows all safety regulations and procedures. Additionally, Lineman work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires a valid Driver's License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Lineman works under moderate supervision. Job Summary:
This position involves heavy lifting and physical labor, working on a 4 person team to install poles, strand, fiber, or conduit to help build our network. Workdays are between 8 to 10 hours a day, up to 5 days per week - so there is opportunity for overtime pay. Additionally, this position be on call periodically and may frequently travel out of town for jobs.
