Lineman constructs, maintains, and repairs overhead and underground transmission lines. Performs site preparation tasks, including digging holes or trenches, installing anchors, climbing poles, and using equipment like digger derricks, aerial lifts, pulling and tensioning equipment, forklifts, and dump trucks. Being a Lineman installs wire and cable. Follows all safety regulations and procedures. Additionally, Lineman work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires a valid Driver's License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Lineman works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Lineman typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)
Immediate need for Lineman A & B, both with underground and/or street lighting experience. Class A CDL is preferred. Work to be performed in the Northshore area with possibility of travel.
Lineman A-minimum 3 years experience. Lineman B-minimum 2 year experience. Bucket truck experience is preferred.
