The Cloud Images team in the Oracle Linux organization is responsible for delivering operating system images that customers of the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure use to launch bare metal servers and virtual machine instances. We build and optimize linux images for OCI compute platforms that serves as a core building block upon which applications and services run. Our team is at the crossroads of OL and OCI: working with the kernel, userspace, security teams and OCI compute, storage, networking, hardware and hypervisor teams.
We're looking for an engineer with expertise and passion in solving problems on cloud platforms in distributed systems and virtualized infrastructure. You will be responsible for linux image development, troubleshooting problems in userspace packages, development of fixes and new features, maintaining the build infrastructure and implementing test automation.
