Litigation Docket Manager oversees the team responsible for tracking the organization's docket files and records. Ensures records and deadlines are properly and timely entered into the calendar. Being a Litigation Docket Manager generates reports detailing action items and due dates. Monitors deadlines and works with attorneys to resolve scheduling conflicts. Additionally, Litigation Docket Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Litigation Docket Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Litigation Docket Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. What to ExpectAs a Case Manager in the Litigation Department, you will be responsible for managing, evaluating, negotiating, and settling consumer cases for both vehicle and energy products. This role requires you to work in an autonomous capacity, but also closely with diverse stakeholder groups such as litigation attorneys, paralegals, and other relevant business partners, to resolve high-risk consumer cases. You will be engaged in various aspects of pre-litigation correspondence including those with customers, attorneys, and regulators.What You'll DoWhat You'll Bring- Manage high-volume pre-litigation consumer cases and evaluate case merits with legal, financial, and customer experience considerations
- Negotiate favorable outcomes through expert understanding of Tesla products and contracts, liaising with attorneys and customers
- Appear on behalf of Tesla and/or prepare witnesses and draft legal documents for small claims cases and lemon law warranty arbitrations, regulatory body complaints, and settlements, including manufacturer responses and statements
- Develop and manage relationships with regulatory bodies regarding consumer issues
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions with colleagues, customers, attorneys, and regulators
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to provide insights and make practical business recommendations
- Champion process improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows based on litigation trends
- Bachelor's Degree and/or 4 years in litigation, customer service, or related position, or equivalent
- Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment while consistently meeting standards for productivity and quality
- Demonstrates ability to work as a flexible and effective team member
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- Deadline-driven and ability to multitask
- Data analysis, problem solving, and project management skills
- Demonstrates strong leadership skills (i.e., ability to take charge, has confidence to interact with all levels, can set objectives, will drive results and is a team player)
