Litigation Docket Manager oversees the team responsible for tracking the organization's docket files and records. Ensures records and deadlines are properly and timely entered into the calendar. Being a Litigation Docket Manager generates reports detailing action items and due dates. Monitors deadlines and works with attorneys to resolve scheduling conflicts. Additionally, Litigation Docket Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Litigation Docket Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Litigation Docket Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Primary Duties & Responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:
Acting LITIGATOR for Jones Petroleum and its various subsidiaries, and being a key team member including valuable input of subject content in the legal department.
The ideal Litigator will have no less than four years experience with Commercial background,
including Appellate Work, and experience in both Federal and State Jurisdictions.
Some transactional practice is a definite plus.
Environmental and Land Use Law is a definite plus.
Our Legal Department is growing and has a very active calendar of various subject matter and will provide excellent challenge and engaging work opportunities for the right candidate.
Must be LICENSED in the State of Georgia, providing Certificate for Georgia Bar.
Availability:
Must have the ability to meet demanding court and filing requirements that may include non traditional work week.
