Being a Litigation Docket Manager generates reports detailing action items and due dates. Monitors deadlines and works with attorneys to resolve scheduling conflicts. Additionally, Litigation Docket Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Litigation Docket Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Litigation Docket Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. This position of Docket Clerk at American Litigation Law Group ("Amerilit") is responsible for docketing, maintaining, and processing case information upon receiving a client’s summons and complaint, managing the progression of answer dates, in accordance with approved internal controls, and procedures. Applicant should be comfortable in learning and working under the particular state statutes and rules of Civil Procedure, for all states. Docket Clerks at this level are fully proficient at managing the progression of cases, including but not limited to following up on answer and/or hearing dates. They are responsible for noticing, managing the progression of cases, maintaining official case records, monitoring the completion of required procedural steps, reviewing filed documents to determine conformity, and taking appropriate action, ensuring that all orders are automated entries are appropriately and accurately docketed, and making summary entries on the docket of all documents and proceedings
