Being a Litigation Docket Manager generates reports detailing action items and due dates. Monitors deadlines and works with attorneys to resolve scheduling conflicts. Additionally, Litigation Docket Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Litigation Docket Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. Jim Leach, L.C. is seeking a full-time well-qualified litigation paralegal for our Parkersburg, WV office. Compensation is commensurate with the required skill level and includes an attractive wage coupled with retirement, health insurance, paid holidays, paid vacation and 401k retirement with profit sharing.
Qualified candidate must have a minimum of three years litigation paralegal experience, or a combined equivalent educational and work background.
Responsibilities include all aspects of personal injury litigation, such as preparing and answering discovery (including proper handling and disclosure of medical records and bills), preparing and submitting state and federal court filings (including electronic filing), and extensive scheduling for depositions, mediations, and other litigation-related activities.
Qualified candidate must also have ability to organize and manage detailed daily activities utilizing case management software for task and event tracking to completion for both paralegal and attorney tasks and events. Experience must include ability to prepare documents using Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word and Excel.
