Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. As a Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for representing clients in various legal proceedings, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and providing expert legal advice. Duties:
- Conduct legal research using various resources such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Analyze and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations to provide accurate legal advice
- Prepare and draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements
- Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and provide support on complex litigation matters
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation
- Attend client meetings and provide expert legal guidance

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

- At least 2 years of criminal trial experience

- Ability to manage criminal caseload of 150 cases

- Desired applicant would enjoy traveling to various jurisdictions in Middle and South Georgia
- Admitted to practice law in the state where the position is located
- Proven experience in litigation with a focus on civil or criminal cases
- Strong knowledge of legal principles, procedures, and practices
- Proficient in conducting legal research using Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis, and other relevant resources
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client representation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
