Litigation Paralegal
We are seeking a litigation paralegal to assist a growing litigation team at an established Vero Beach law firm. You will provide overall support to attorneys' business needs. This is a full time position, benefits include insurance and 401(k).
Responsibilities:
- Assisting attorneys with case management.
- Drafting, formatting, and proofing of legal pleadings and correspondence, including discovery documents, and simple to moderately complex motion drafting.
- Schedule hearings, meetings, conferences, depositions, mediations, etc.
- Conduct research to support legal proceedings. Westlaw training/experience.
- Ability to provide experienced assistance in discovery preparation, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Managing multiple on-going assignments; participating in litigation department-wide projects as needed.
- Tracking billable hours and assisting attorneys with billing, invoicing, and collections.
- Ability to communicate with clientele, professionally and politely regarding their matters, billing, status.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal required.
- Electronic filing of court documents
- Professional and personable to court staff, opposing counsel, and clientele
- Proficient with Microsoft office software, particularly word, outlook, and excel.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Deadline and detail-oriented
