Litigation Support Manager oversees the team that uses technology to support an organization's litigation efforts. Develops and implements policies and procedures for designing, implementing, and maintaining litigation databases. Being a Litigation Support Manager is responsible for the technical aspects of document organization and control, including electronic discovery (eDiscovery). Provides training to the end users on database use and document management. Additionally, Litigation Support Manager confirms the accuracy of the documents and exhibits for trial. May handle more complex cases. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Litigation Support Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Litigation Support Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Understanding of personal injury law and case management strategies
    • Providing compassion and professionalism to clients and other outside parties
    • Transcribe correspondence, pleadings, and discovery requests/responses
    • Comply with Court/discovery deadlines
    • Proactive documentation of all/any work done on a case
    • Corresponding with counsel about matters
    • Act as liaison between attorneys, clients, and witnesses
    • Gather, organize, summarize, and index documents from various sources
    • Provide logistical support, including filing legal documents or collecting legal documents at a variety of venues
    • Drafting and filing motions, pleadings, and other court documents
    • Organizing and summarizing medical bills and medical records
    • Constantly updating case medical expenses.
    • Schedule depositions and mediations

    Requirements:

    • Paralegal certification from an accredited university
    • Superb oral and written communication skills
    • Punctual - excellent time-management
    • Naturally forward driven, constantly takes initiative
    • Problem solving
    • Extreme attention to detail
    • Creative and curious – always seeking greater knowledge
    • Must be tech forward, knowledge of EsquireTek, written discovery automation software a plus
    • Bilingual Spanish/English a plus

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
