Litigation Support Manager oversees the team that uses technology to support an organization's litigation efforts. Develops and implements policies and procedures for designing, implementing, and maintaining litigation databases. Being a Litigation Support Manager is responsible for the technical aspects of document organization and control, including electronic discovery (eDiscovery). Provides training to the end users on database use and document management. Additionally, Litigation Support Manager confirms the accuracy of the documents and exhibits for trial. May handle more complex cases. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Litigation Support Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Litigation Support Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job responsibilities: Directly supervises the career preparation supervisor, senior counselor, career transition readiness specialist, counselors and secretary. Responsible for the supervision of career support services, career preparation services, and career transition services, which includes counseling, evaluation of student panels, MYPACE, and other counseling programs.



    Essential functions:


    • Plan, coordinate and manage the administrative and programmatic activities of the department.
    • Evaluate staff performance, provide staff training and implement department and personnel changes.
    • Develop and implement new and revised policies and procedures affecting counseling, career transitions, and career preparation.
    • Develop and implement an effective counseling services program; perform periodic audits of counselor folders.
    • Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of service to students and prepare related reports.
    • Take appropriate steps to ensure that administrative procedures are follow, such as adequate record keeping and maintenance of schedules.

    Education and Experience Requirements:



    • Bachelor’s degree, 15 semester hours in social services related instruction and five years' experience in counseling or related field. Knowledge of human behavior, individual and group counseling techniques, management skills and case summaries.
    • 2 years experience working with youth and young adults.
    • A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
