Litigation Support Specialist uses technology to support an organization's litigation efforts. Designs, implements, and maintains litigation databases. Being a Litigation Support Specialist is responsible for the technical aspects of document organization and control, including electronic discovery (eDiscovery). Trains end users in database use and document management. Additionally, Litigation Support Specialist may assist in the preparation of documents or exhibits for trial. Requires a bachelor's degree. The Loan Support Specialist has the responsibility of assisting the Collections Department with administrative duties, including: correspondence, assistance with Bankruptcy accounts, assistance with Summons and Complaints and the Magistrate’s Court, and preparing specified Collections Department reports. The Loan Support Specialist must provide quality service with diplomacy and accuracy while projecting a positive “people helping people” credit union image.
Responsible for coding, documenting, and monitoring Bankruptcy accounts. Sending correspondence to members, attorneys, to the Bankruptcy Court and to Trustees, as well as other Bankruptcy account assistance as necessary.
Preparing specified reports.
Attending Bankruptcy or Magistrate’s Court, when necessary.
Filing Summons and Complaints through the Magistrate’s Court.
Prepares accurate loan officer’s delinquency and charge off reports, Bankruptcy Log, Recovery Totals, and Referral Totals for Credit Specialists. Assists with special reports and other programs, as requested.
As necessary, aids in the Collection of delinquent loans (by phone, mail, and in person), providing financial counseling, and both loan referrals and GreenPath financial counseling referrals as appropriate.
Is knowledgeable of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and PCFCU Collection Policy and procedures.
Researches assigned member’s account(s) and make recommendations for solutions when there is a problem.
Assists with maintaining and disposal of repossessed vehicles, including transporting repossessed vehicles.
Responsible for proper documentation of member’s file or computer record, when appropriate.
Provides exceptional service to our membership through process of transactions.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
This position is for staff supervision, development and evaluation of the Loan Support Specialist as a representative of the Collections Department. Must have the ability to collect payments from delinquent accounts by phone or in person and be able to multi-task efficiently. Must also have the ability to work with people and be comfortable promoting the credit union’s products and services.
