SUMMARY

We are seeking a Collection Recovery Assistant for our financing arm, Sylvania Acceptance Corporation, which specializes in purchasing and servicing loans for the subprime and deep subprime markets.

This position is responsible for overseeing asset recovery, collection activities, and providing leadership and guidance on all collection matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure compliance with state and federal credit and collection rules and guidelines
• Skip trace and analyze financial situations of delinquent borrowers and take appropriate action
• File all claims
• Develop reporting procedures on collection activities
• Manage data for delinquencies, garnishments, judgments, and bankruptcy lists
• Update files and system accounts in the loan recovery system
• Track all judgments and revive at appropriate times

REQUIREMENTS

• 3 years of relevant experience
• Excellent communication and people skills with contacts inside and outside the company
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills
• Capable of multi-tasking and effectively plan and prioritize work
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach
