    Sol’s Jewelry and Loan is looking for a results-driven, high-energy and sales driven Assistant Store Manager to join our team.

    Along with their manager, this individual will oversee a team of Sales Associates while providing outstanding customer service and building strong ongoing relationships with clients with the objective of meeting department and store goals.

    Responsibilities:

    • Accountable for the day-to-day operations of the store promoting a positive and productive work environment
    • Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging each customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service
    • Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and training Team Members while monitoring and appraising their job results with an eye on retention
    • Assist in coaching and mentoring your team while modeling to them how to work with customers to negotiate mutually satisfying agreements regarding pawn items
    • Develop pawnbroker skills in all staff by performing sales and loan transactions while role-modeling a desire to become an expert at evaluating items
    • Ensure proper merchandise stock levels through making solid and purposeful loans
    • Maximize profitability through the creation and maintenance of good pawn loans
    • Continually grow expertise on products offered and appropriate pricing ranges for product coming in on loan and going out for sale
    • Market merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans
    • Work closely with customers to assess their needs, provide assistance, and build a trust relationship that results in building a clientele base with repeat business
    • Handle all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies, procedures and practices
    • Track and report all sales and customer activity daily
    • Administer processes and procedures within the store to include inventory management, product knowledge, merchandising, and store presentation
    • Comply with inventory control procedures
    • Organize and run the warehouse so that all staff can locate product accordingly
    • Secure merchandise by implementing security systems and measures
    • Protect Team Members and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment
    • Resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum client satisfaction
    • Assist with answering the phone in a timely, professional manner
    • Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements
    • Adhere to and maintain operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing all program, operational, safety, and personnel policies and procedures
    • Perform additional duties as assigned

    ?Qualifications:

    • Associate degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred; a combination of military experience, high school diploma and related pawn experience accepted
    • 3 years’ experience in a fast paced, dynamic and customer-oriented environment including pawn, retail/sales, restaurant management, hospitality or comparable
    • 3 years’ experience in a Management or Supervisory role
    • Understanding of how trends in the market change quickly with ability to adapt to changes
    • Strategic and tactical staff management skills
    • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
    • High energy sales personality and entrepreneurial spirit with proven leadership skills
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills
    • Computer literate and able to use credit card processing machine, cash register, and count change
    • Online sales experience helpful but not necessary
    • Ability to evaluate situations and make the correct calls with the information at hand
    • Ability to offer and describe various solutions and their benefits to the customer
    • Knowledge of, and desire to continually learn about commonly pawned items such as tools, jewelry, firearms or electronics
    • Pawn experience a plus
    • Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner while remaining calm
    • Familiarity with inventory procedures
    • Solid communication and interpersonal skills to include proper phone etiquette
    • Must have reliable transportation and possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
    • Proficiency in English required; bilingual preferred

    • Sales floor or warehouse environment
    • Ability to work standing for long periods of time
    • Ability to walk up flights of stairs and/or work in confined spaces
    • Periodically works in outside weather conditions
    • Periodically works near moving mechanical parts and equipment*
    • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
    • Availability to work flexible shifts that may include weekend, holiday or evening work as needed
    • Occasional travel between stores required

    *Sol’s Jewelry and Loan will provide training and personal protective equipment as necessary.
