    Role Summary:

    The Commercial Loan Servicing Team Leader is responsible for the safety and soundness of the Commercial/SBA loan portfolio.  They will oversee the generation of Laser Pro documents and review loan documents for accuracy.  This position oversees the funding and servicing of all Commercial/SBA loans.  The Commercial Loan Servicing Manager/Team Leader will be responsible for the collateral perfection and quality assurance of all Commercial/SBA loans.  Research and maintenance of system and documentation errors are overseen by this position.  They will assist in the internal file audits, third party audits, and state and federal safety and soundness examinations. This position will demonstrate a strong understanding of Gesa Credit Union policies and guidelines, as well as all state and federal laws. The Commercial Loan Servicing Manager/Team Leader will provide direction and support for all the Commercial Loan Processors and Commercial Loan Production Assistants. They will be involved in the hiring and recommend the appropriate disciplinary actions necessary.  Training and development of the team members will fall under their responsibility.  As a member of the Commercial Leadership Team, they will be assigned other strategic and cross-functional leadership opportunities across the department. 

     

    What You Will Be Doing:

    1. Oversee the operations of the commercial loan servicing and processes.
    2. Provide assistance to the Commercial/SBA Credit Analysts, Commercial/SBA Production Assistants, and Commercial Loan Processors.
    3. Provide direction and leadership to Commercial team to ensure accurate funding and collateral perfection of Commercial/SBA loans.
    4. Lead the development of and maintain controls to ensure the safety and soundness of the portfolio. 
    5. Attend monthly Commercial Leadership meetings and provide input on the strategic initiatives of the department.
    6. Oversee all credit activity to ensure assignments have been completed such as processing interest rate index changes, new loan account accuracy, preparing correspondence notifications, and other portfolio monitoring activities.
    7. Lead the preparation and execution for third-party audits and state and federal exams.
    8. Assist Commercial Portfolio Management in the portfolio tracking activities which include UCC and insurance tracking. 
    9. Ensure team provides support to credit union members and team members in explaining commercial credit policies and procedures.
    10. Provides training to ensure team maintains a working knowledge of the credit union’s commercial loan standards and government regulations.
    11. Maintain a professional work environment and work under restricted time constraints.
    12. Maintain awareness of state and federal laws, regulations, and Gesa’s Commercial/SBApolicies and procedures.
    13. Support corporate values, mission, and vision. Perform job duties within these standards and in accordance with the guidelines of our bylaws and regulations.
    14. Maintain and protect all sensitive data utilizing the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism. Consistently display respect for all areas of diversity and levels of knowledge.
    15. Attend Credit Union training sessions, conferences, or seminars as approved by supervisor.

    What You Will Need:

    1. Equivalent to a four-year college degree preferred or equivalent experience.
    2. A minimum of 3 years of similar or related commercial credit servicing and commercial loan experience.
    3. Some managerial or supervision experience. 
    4. Must be able to work under pressure and manage workflow to provide a high level of member service.
    5. Proficiency with standard office equipment, MS Office and Outlook software, Teams and commercial lending platforms.
    6. Some travel may be required to fulfill duties, career development, and/or responsibilities.
