Working in collaboration with the Nurse Director, UM Utilization Management Physician Advisors, and hospital leadership team, the RN Manager Utilization Management will play a critical role in optimizing healthcare resources within this 450 bed short-term acute care hospital. The UR Nurse Manager will assess the efficiency and appropriateness of patient care services, ensuring that medical resources are used effectively, promoting proper medical documentation and appropriate admission and discharge.
The RN Manager Utilization Management will serve as a subject matter expert to physicians and staff, identifying opportunities for process improvement and policy and procedure amendment as needed. The UR Nurse Manager will utilize the EPIC EMR system to collaborate and communicate with the interdisciplinary team, conducting concurrent reviews and utilization monitoring.
REQUIREMENTS: BSN Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree, 3 years of UR/UM experience within the acute care hospital setting, Active State of Arizona (Compact State) RN License, Previous background with EPIC EMR.
