We are seeking a Payment Poster who is responsible for receiving all payments and posting them correctly to the A/R accounts that come in via Lockbox, ERA, and Credit Card.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of all payments deposited to the Practice Management system.
• Efficiently posts all assigned patient and /or insurance payments to patient accounts.
• Ensures that all contractual adjustments have been applied.
• Completes all assigned postings by the 2nd or 3rd business day of the following month.
• Identify accounts that require additional review due to incorrect processing from the insurance.
• Accurately posts takebacks and recoupments to patient accounts as well as PLAs.
• Ensures that all payments received at the bank are posted with the correct deposit dates.
• Contact the insurance company if EOB is not received, so that payment can be posted to the correct account promptly.
• Work daily with AR team members to review posting errors.
• Work with management on identifying payment posting concerns/issues.
• Utilizes payer portals when needing additional payment information.
• Manage communication of lockbox promptly
• Identifying and resolving payment discrepancies and errors
• Other duties as assigned

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

• Full-Time
• Monday – Friday
• 8 am – 5 pm
• Location - Palm Beach Gardens or Ft. Myers
• There is a possibility of working from home 2 days a week after 90 days of employment

QUALIFICATIONS

Education - This position requires completion of at least a High School Degree or equivalent.

Experience – Minimum of two years of medical billing experience. Candidates must be able to work with a high volume of work while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy

Communication – Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Work Style - Must be able to work well independently but ask for help when needed. Ability to analyze and interpret information, ability to interact and decipher information telephonically and electronically.
