SUMMARY

Stampede Ventures, Inc, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Locksmith/ General Maintenance Technician.  

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

• Open and repair high security safes, both fires rated, and high security rated
• Repair and maintain Main vault doors (including maintaining and replacing time clocks and tables)
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical & electronic locking systems, safe/vault doors and interior lockers.
• Performs combination changes on all types of mechanical and electronic safe/vault locks.
• Rekey or repair physical security locks and containers.
• Provides documentation in electronic formats (e.g., notes regarding the service call, time, and materials, etc.) for tracking of work completed.
• Responds to emergency situations of customers in a timely manner.
• Transports and maintains all necessary equipment and tools in company vehicles to ensure timely completion of work at job sites.
• Accurate reporting of dispatch, arrival, and completion times of all assigned work.

Able to perform general preventative maintenance tasks associated with contracts as well as be able to complete general maintenance tickets.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO’s)

• High School Diploma
• GSA Security Container Certification

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

• Timely communication with IML staff by returning phone calls within 4 hours and emails within 24 hours.
• Mechanical aptitude
• Basic computer skills including experience with Microsoft excel, word and outlook.
• Maintain Security License by adhering to annual continuing education requirements.
• Valid Driver’s License and insurance, plus clean driving record.
• Ability to multi-task and time management skills
• Perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, standing, and walking significant distances.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions precisely.
• Ability to manage high stress situations in a calm manner.
• General maintenance skills

Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about. Technicians may be required to walk/stand/sit for extended periods as needed; travel to and from work sites.

DOT COVERED/SAFETY-SENSITIVE ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

Stampede maintains a small office in Groton, Ct and Belcamp, MD out of which we base our operations. Technicians will report to their supervisor daily for work requests and other assigned duties. Occasional travel may be required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• No supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
