May require a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Log Grader and Scaler is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Log Grader and Scaler performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager. Rosboro is seeking a full-time Scaler Helper for our Log Yard. The position will require being on your feet for the entirety of the shift, measuring logs for length while being exposed to weather elements. Applicant must be comfortable working around Operational heavy equipment and, at times, working in extreme weather conditions. A safety-first mindset, excellent communication, and strong attention to detail are must haves to be successful in this role. Knowledge of log species is a plus. This is a Day Shift position.
