The City of Danville is seeking Logistics Specialists to join our team. This professional position plays an important and critical role in the daily operations of our Mass Transit Department.
Position Summary: Manages the operation of DMT (Danville Mass Transit) fixed route and demand response services. Makes quick, accurate decisions to ensure that DMT service is safe, dependable, and courteous for customers. Schedules available work among bus operators and maintenance staff in accordance with DMT procedures, and terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement. Operation of two-way radio system and GPS tracking system, giving instructions to bus operators, and informing them of driving conditions, assignment changes, transfer coordination, and related matters. Answering most incoming calls, directing them as needed. Oversee front counter operations. Prepare the following day schedules and fills vacancies as needed. Other duties as assigned.

- Education: As a minimum, the employee must hold a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Experience: Employee must have training and experience which demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of this position.
